The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued orders for all ISP’s (Interent Service Providers) to block access to You Tube and Wikipedia websites.
YouTube is a Video straming Websites that has a lot of users from across the World. Wikipedia is an Online Encyclopedia that has information about Events and Places along with the Technical Information Pertinent to Various Things in its Database.
The step was taken after a Cell was formed to Observe Websites currently operational on the Internet. The PTA Employees surfed the Internet all night long on 19 May 2010 to observe the Objectional Content available on the Interent.
You Tube and Wikipedia along with a lot of other websites have been blocked by PTA as they possess inappropriate and objectionable content. They are found guilty of spreading inappropriate content.
Earlier Facebook was blocked in Pakistan when Facebook tried to humiliate our religion Islam through malpractices. The Orders were issued by the Lahore High Court in this context to all ISP’s for blockage of Facebook all over Pakistan.
This is really the Best step ever taken by Pakistani Government and Authorities. We think blocking websites with Anti Islamic Content is a greatest move by Pakistani Government.
However, the Pakistani Government must not stop at this point and should lodge an official complaint to the United Nations for punishing all the ill minded people involved in the entire situation.
We should Ban these Websites for forever. If it goes up to Pakistani people these websites will suffer a lifetime ban imposed on them.
We love this step and support this Ban. Pakistan Zindabad.

I suggest the whole internet should be blocked. At least those websites must be blocked which have anti Islamic content. Its our duty to protest protect our Islam.

i appreciate pak gov fo taking this step…….we should respect all the religions equllay,islam is a religion of peace,love and respect.i humbly request to supreme court , pak gov and the people that dont stop here must go further and protest untill those ill minded people get punished…………

it would be wiser for PTA to ban only the very objectionable contents of those websites, not just WHOLE website. We should have some freedom of thought.
