Apple have released iOS 4.2.8 for Verizon iPhone 4 CDMA user’s. This minor update iOS 4.2.8 fixes the user location tracking bug that was existent in the preceding version.
Apple have also released iOS 4.3.3 for iPhone 4 Gsm user’s.

Procedure to upgrade iOS 4.2.8 on Verizon iPhone 4 CDMA
The user needs to connect his Verizon iPhone 4 CDMA to his computer via USB. Now turn on iTunes 10.2.2 a message will prompt automatically asking to “Download and Install” for iOS 4.2.8 for Mac OS X user’s and “Update and Install” for Windows OS user’s. Once selected the firmware iOS 4.2.8 will be updated automatically.

Well Apple claims it to be a bug in iOS 4 which tracks location data but after so much embarrassment and discussions i think Apple have decided to drop down the idea of recording user location services
