Will the More Advanced Computers Eliminate the Valuable Role of Human Teachers in the Classroom
by Young Aspirations on Jun 21st, 2010
Read More » Tags
With the advancement in technology and IT sector Computer Systems are developing quickly.
The Hot discussion that often occupies the Spotlight is “Will Computers Rule Out the Role of Human Teachers Into The Class Room”.
A lot of People particiapte in this discussion and give various facts and figures to justify their support against or in the Favor of this topic.
Personally being Rationale I feel that the role of Human Teachers in the Learning Process will remain intact.
Computers can not think for themselves. Computers are man made inventions and they rely on a Human to input Instructions in them.
Unlike Humans they lack brains so are unable to think and make new discoveries. Computers can only display what the Human asks them to for.
In the Class Room there are a lot of Students from various backgrounds. A Human is always needed for their ethical and emotional training. Some Human is needed to inform them them of the dreadful circumstances that may emerge if they fail to engross themselves whole heartedly into their studies.
Computers lack emotions so if a Student is sad as a rsult of some unfavorable even the Computers are unable to cheer him up. A Human is always needed to pick up deficiencies in the Children.
The mistakes that students commit can be corrected by Computer but Computer can not make them confident not to repeat these mistakes again.
Some Students are slow while others are quick so A Human is needed to take them on the pace track of learning.
Indeed the verdict goes that Computers could be used as Guides in the Classroom to enable students learn their lessons with interactivity but can not replace human teachers as they are an integral part in teaching process and a Human who has gone through the same phase is able to guide aspiring Students in a better way then anything else.

ACCA 50% Passing Marks Are they Valid?
by Young Aspirations on Jun 21st, 2010
Read More » Tags
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants UK increased their passing percentage from 40% to 50% from June 2009 exams onwards.
They changed the pattern of the paper to include some multiple choice questions to test candidate’s knowledge.
But the Questions still remains unanswered. Is it valid to increase the passing marks percentage when a lot of candidate’s from across the world are enrolling into the ACCA after a drastic hike in University Fees for proper undergraduate and post graduate Degree Program.
Although ACCA is increasing its fee with the passage of time but still ACCA remains one of the most economical professional degrees currently available to young aspiring students.
Well, to be honest I personally think 40% Passing Percentage is enough as the Exams set by ACCA Examiners are really tough to attempt. They include some questions within the exams that disrupt Candidate’s concentration and makes him lose a lot of time estimating the right answer.
ACCA administration should ponder at the rapid globalization. They announced are going to revive their ACCA Course content from 2011 Onwards. Last Time when ACCA updated their course content according to employer’s expectation was in 2007. Since then ACCA has evolved and a lot of changes have been made to the format of the Exam Paper, examinable questions and theory.
ACCA must understand that to test Candidate’s Knowledge they must keep their Passing Percentage to 40% but should start a grading system like University Awards GPA (Grade Points Average) and CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average). GPA is mentioned on the degrees issued by a university.
Grading system will help employers and student but I do not think declaring a student who has achieved 50% marks equivalent to a student achieving 96% marks is just.
A persons who achieves 49% marks is equal to 50% marks holder then why are they regarding him as a fail candidate when a Candidate with Just One Percent More Marks is equal to student Achieving 100% marks.
I think ACCA should revisit their policy to attract more students otherwise the day is no far when students will quit ACCA due to their strange Exam Scripts Marking System.

The Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago United states of America (US) will be offering iPad to all new Undergraduate students.
The University Authorities cite the reason that using iPad will facilitate teaching. University authorities claim that there are a lot of applications of iPad in the field of education.
Students can extract benefit through using eBooks, Black Board Mobile Learn and iTunes University.
Illinois Institute of Technology is saying that the iPad Gadget will be handed over to all new incoming undergraduate students to “integrate new technologies into the classroom and foster educational innovation among faculty and students”.
Illinois Institute of Technology was formed in 1890. It accepts a lot of foreign students and for this reason it was ranked at 9th spot for 2008 University Rankings of International Students by topuniversites.com
The things to discuss are that won’t the eye sight of students be effected after reading from an LED screen. A lot of universities consider iPad as distraction from studies.
Another point is that will Illinois Institute of Technology offer new iPad to Pakistani Students who will be admitted in this institution. Now will they be granted visa acceptance for US.
Although it is really expensive to study at Illinois Institute of Technology and low scholarships are available at Undergraduate Level for International Students.

Ielts British Council Vs AEO Which Is Better For Pakistani Students?
by Young Aspirations on May 13th, 2010
Read More » Tags
A lot of Revenue is generated by the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) in Pakistan.
IELTS is basically an International English Language Test that is arranged by two examination bodies in Pakistan British Council and AEO (Australian Education Organization).
AEO have a good reputation in Pakistan. They are really popular among the students in Pakistan due to being just with the students.
Well The Current Circumstances in Pakistan are making it difficult to survive in Pakistan. A lot of People are applying to study at a university abroad or are applying for an immigration.
To be able to get a Visa Acceptance IELTS is mandatory and IELTS is the qualification required to seek admission in any foreign University.
A lot of Students apply for an IELTS Test. As a lot of Students are familiar that there are Four Modules in the IELTS Test Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening.
A lot of students are really dubious on what to choose. They are very much worried about their future so they are really cautious in selecting the examination body through which they will attempt the test.
For Pakistani Students although teachers say that both British council and AEO are the same but honestly speaking there is a vast difference. These teachers have not attempted this IELTS test themselves so they guide their students in a wrong way.
Two Modules Listening and Reading are the same in both AEO and British council as there is an answer key to questions which is followed by examiners.
The remaining two modules Writing and Speaking have a wide marking difference. British council of Pakistan is really strict and tries its level best to restrict the students in a band score of 6.5.
They award 5.0 Overall Band score when the Candidate deserves a lot more then that. Accidentally if some one like a really Qualified Doctor or some big Business man sits in the test They award 7 or 7.5 overall Band just to maintain their egoistic attitude.
On the Other Hand AEO is very good in this case. Their Examiners are fresh and try their level best to pump a candidate perform well. A lot of students achieve an overall band score of 8.5 in AEO while on average if you are awarded overall 5.0 Band score in Ielts by British council you could easily achieve 6.5 or even 7 in AEO.
The Speaking test organized by British council is really weird. They have old ladies who are really egoistic and are extremely rude. They try their level best to confuse a candidate. On the other hand the Speaking examiners of AEO are young and really of good mood. They smile at intervals and treat the Candidates as their Friend. This ambience in the Speaking Test really releases a lot of exam pressure from the candidate and so the Candidate performs well and achieves minimum 6.0 Band in Speaking Test and Maximum could be 8.5 but on average Students secure 7.0 Band in AEO Speaking Test.
When it comes to writing British council Examiners are not in a mood to do justice with the candidates. They try their level best to award a Band score less then 5.0 in Writing to restrict Candidate score.
AEO have good marking criteria and they try to award genuine marks to a candidate who is appearing into the test.
British council charges Rs 10,000 PKR for the test while AEO charges Rs 13000 Pakistani Rupees for the test. Students have direct access to AEO offices while British Council only corresponds through some branches of Standard Chartered Bank in Pakistan.
British Council has just one plus point that they provide wireless headphones for Listening that is good for Candidates.
My verdict to students will be to choose AEO for IELTS in Pakistan if they want to utilize their potential or go to British Council if you want injustice to be done with you.

University College, University College Definition, What is a University college
by Young Aspirations on Mar 17th, 2010
Read More » TagsYou might have heard the term “University College” a lot of times while searching for an appropriate educational Institution. The First question that comes up to your mind is that What is a university college?.The answer to your question is that University College is an educational Institution that allows its students to acquire Tertiary Educational Degrees and may even carry on research projects but at the end of the day it is not recognized as a proper University. This means an educational institution that offers Undergraduate, Graduate, Masters, Post Graduate programs to its prospective students but is either affiliated with another institution or is on a small scale to offer Degrees that have less value as compared to others. To elaborate further lets take for instance, an Educational Institution ( XYZ University in Pakistan) has enrolled 5000 students in an undergraduate study program of Engineering. To the twist in the story, XYZ University is affiliated with a major University ABC University in Pakistan which is a proper Degree Awarding University. Now the students of XYZ University will have to sit in Semester Examinations conducted by ABC University and the scripts will be marked by the faculty of ABC University. The entire Result will be arranged and declared by ABC University and at the end of Duration when Students have passed all the Examinations a Degree will be handed over to the each individual Student by ABC University in which it will be stated that the student is now a qualified profesional who attended XYZ University one of our affiliated Institutions and have scored this much % marks. In addition you will receive Character Certificate and University Degree Completion Certificate from XYZ University that you will have to attach along with your certificates while creating your curriculum vitae at the time of Job Seeking.Different Countries have different rules for University Colleges. There are a lot of Institutions that have University College in their name but that does not guarantee that its a University College as some Institutions use it for some reason so do a lot of research before jumping towards the conclusion.A University College may be defined in easy terms as a University that is either awarding a degree of another Institution or has a low recognized Degree and that too offered on a very small scale on selective study courses and programs or is just preparing its students to sit for some examinations conducted on a large scale. The Institution that is non autonomous and is dependent on other factors for the Degree it is awarding is termed as a university college. Please do not confuse University colleges with Colleges offering Higher Secondary School Certificate Education as well as other higher education programs at under graduate and Masters levels. For Pakistani Students ReferenceGovernment College University Lahore is not a University College as it awards a degree of its own.So we conclude that unless an Educational University has received approval from local governing bodies and Government it can not offer a proper Degree of its own and has to rely on other institutions for the Degree Certificate of its Students. This article allows valued readers of Rise Dream.Com to learn about University Colleges. We hope you will appreciate our work and this information was useful to you.

by Young Aspirations on Jan 28th, 2010

Today Rise Dream Decided to cover a very serious issue about the developing negative health effects you may be unaware of through the excessive use of Mobile Phones.
In your ambience, for example your Class Room,Office or a Recreational Park, You can Observe that now even a small kid is busy with mobile phone sending and receiving unnecassary messages and calls.
Mobile Phones are a very good invention of Science as we may remain in touch with each other every time and communication is revolutionised through the availability of Cellular Phones. Although The Primary purpose of Mobile Phones is to serve Genuine Needs of Man Kind but Now a days we are making mobile phones harmful for us. It is an Old saying that Excess of every thing is bad. For Instance, Food is meant to fulfill our Energy Requirement and it is Compulsory for our survival but we may turn Over weight, Fat and Bulky if we consume too much of Food which is more than our daily requirement. The same is the case here with Mobile Phones.
If we use Cellular Phones for a long time then we may be confronted with alarming issues especially those related to our health.
For Years Various Doctors and Media Reports have been warning ordinary public about the serious diseases that may emerge as a reaction to addiction with mobile phones. We should keep the use of Mobile Phones only limited to very urgent and important Calls and Messages and must avoid pushing ourselves into continuous use of Cellular Phones.
Mobile(Wireless, Cell) phones use microwave radiation for operation and communication. Microwave Radiation is very harmful for Human Health. A lot of you people may have heard that we should avoid living near Mobile Phone Towers and we should never keep Mobile Phones in our Shirt’s Front Pocket near our heart.
Microwave radiation is a collection of Electromagnetic waves. A lot of us might have read this terminolgy in our Science Book and If you are regular Science Student at a higher class then you might have experienced this term in your Physics Book. Below are listed some of the Health Disadvantages which may arise as a result of abundant usage of Mobile Phones.
The Negative Heath Effects
The Electromagnetic waves change the electric activity of human brain which is very harmful for an individual’s health. The more use of Cell Phones may cause a disturbance in sleep. If a person is Cell Phone addict then he may find it difficult to concentrate on simple issues, suffer from fatigue, headache and may take longer to react and respond.
Many doctors suggest to use Mobile Phones for less time beacuse excessive use of Mobile Phones may increase the resting blood pressure and reduce the production of hormone melatonin. Electromagnetic waves are also involved in the breakdown of DNA strands inside body cells.
To explain a bit further Cell phones damage important brain cells. Various Researchers have commented that harmful radiation from mobile phone handsets damage key areas of the brain associated with movement, learning and memory.
There are more risks for severe diseases like mouth cancer, brain cancer, brain tumours and leukemia. In some cases teens are strictly advised to eliminate the surplus exposure towards Mobile Phones as the microwave radiation may cause male infertility.
The Steps A Person Can Take
Well there are some simple tips to follow in keeping the use of Mobile Phones safe.
A common problem is that we keep our cell phones near our pillow while sleeping beacuse we use our Mobile Phones to set Alarms. It is advised to use simple analog or digital clocks for the purpose of Alarms as they may perform the same task efficiently.
We must minimise the use of Cell Phones and we must not attach the Mobile Phone directly to our ear as we may face electromagnetic radiation directly effecting our brain.
Instead it is advised to use hands free and to keep mobile phone away from body or atleast the chest and face all the time.
Try to keep mobile phone away from your heart like never keep mobile phone in your shirt’s pocket as in some circumstances a person may feel Cardiac Heart problems as a result of these harmful radiations.
Try meeting physically your friends or relatives instead of talking on the line as you could reduce risks attached with unhealthy use of mobile phones.
Try to avoid answering calls from numbers that are alien to you as most of them are irrelevant calls that waste your time marketing for new products or trapping you as their prey for their next attempt to fraud. They may also be wrong crank calls.
Well this article tried to keep you up to date with the rising issues regarding your precious health and how you may avoid indulging in activities that lead to a unhealthy use of Mobile Phones, Cell Phones, Wireless Phones or any other technolgy of communication using microwave radiation elctromagnetic waves.
Our Safety is in our own hands.
